From farm to table
=In the golden sunlight and among fragrant petals grows the sweet nectar of the earth=
Springtime in the mountains. Cicadas chirping and bees buzzing, busying about to suck up the nectar from the abundant flowers, then ferment it in their honey stomachs for 30 minutes as they return to their hive to deposit it into the honeycombs, where it cures into rich and fragrant honey.
A bee's honey stomach (sac) can only carry 20 mg of nectar, so to collect 1 kg of nectar a worker bee needs to fly back and forth 50,000 to 60,000 times. That’s what makes honey so precious, and you can’t help but smile when you taste it.
Professional bee keepers are nomads, moving their hives and households along with the seasons and the weather. It’s a tough life. What they dread most is a typhoon or heavy rains, as those will blow all their efforts away in an instant. Therefore, when the time of harvesting has come, they work around the clock to harvest the honey. Sweating and tired, they still have a smile on their faces.
When the buckets filled with honey have arrived at the factory, honey-making masters examine the appearance, smell, and taste of the honey to select the best honey. That honey is sent to SGS to be tested for pesticide residues, animal drugs, and antibiotics. After verification, the honey is labeled Löver Höney and stored into the warehouses for distribution.
100% honest honey since 1965
For each Löver Höney product on this official website, you can check the latest SGS inspection report, which contains the testing date and the results for testing items such as residues of pesticides, animal drugs and antibiotics as well as untested items. Showing consumers each test report as it comes out goes much further than vague slogans about being “certified.”
Our entire production process from bottling and capping to inspection and sealing is automated and certified. To prevent contamination from humans, our staff must follow disinfection procedures and wear clean-room outfits. Every little detail counts.
As early as August 2009, Löver Höney has had product résumés and a traceability system, whereby consumers can scan the ID (QR code) on a container of honey to see the beekeeper, harvest time, and place of origin, so they can purchase and consume the honey with peace of mind.
To top it off, for half a century Löver Höney has not raised the price of its products, so that consumers have access to great products at great prices, and more people discover wholesome honey in a world of over processed sweet snacks.
